About Us

Our home consists of myself and my husband along with our children aged 8 and 3. My husband’s mother also lives with us. We have 3 dogs, a Border Collie and 2 Alaskan Huskies (One a retired Iditarod dog). We also have 2 axolotls and, of course, our cats. We keep two Queens and one Sire. We live in a home nestled against the mountains in Anchorage, Alaska.
We enjoy automotive sports, drag racing, camping, hiking, fishing, and the raw beauty of Alaska. We love to do things together as a family and that includes bringing up our kittens.
All of our kittens are raised underfoot as members of our busy household. This makes them very well adapted to just about any home environment being used to noises, animals, and young children. Our kiddos participate in handling the babies from a young age familiarizing them with little hands.
Both my husband and I were raised on farms in the lower 48 and have raised animals our entire lives. I have worked as a Vet Tech as well. We have drawn on our experiences and also taken the time to educate ourselves further to raise the best kittens possible.

We invest a lot of time and love into every one of our babies and know each one will be a purrfect furever friend to their lucky new owner. We have a special bond to every sweet kitten we raise and being sure each one is going to a loving and healthy home is very important to us. These babies are more than just cute balls of fluff, they’re part of our family, and that investment of love means our kittens are affectionate, confident, & well adjusted. We are confident when they leave the nest they are ready to be great companions.

When we made the decision to breed our precious cats we did not do so lightly. After falling in love with miniature cats in general we took the time to find just the right ones to make our own. We were VERY selective when we chose our breeding cats. Through this process we realized that there are NO TINY CAT breeders in the entire state of Alaska. We had to bring our babies up from the lower 48. While that is a great option for some, it isn’t quite feasible for many. Teacup cats are already an expensive investment before you add on flight & nanny prices.
So many people we have met here in the Last Frontier didn’t even realize there was such a thing as a miniature cat and many were interested in having one of their own and were disappointed after finding out they weren’t available in state. We are very excited to be able to bring these adorable tiny cats to Alaska for the first time and to make it possible for more families here to experience having one of these mini kitties in their family. They may be small but the love and smiles they bring to your home are HUGE.

We LOVE to receive updates on our babies in their new homes! If you adopt one of our sweet kitties we would very much appreciate if you would stay in touch and send us updates on your little floof. Seeing the little nuggets thriving in their new environment brings us so much happiness.
When you adopt a kitten from us you’ll receive continued support from us and we are happy to answer any questions you may have after bringing little one home. We are here to help you with any concerns that may arise as you grow together so please don’t be shy! We can be reached at Contact@aktinycats.com any time and those that complete the adoption process will have a phone number where we can be reached as well.
